Dr. Saikaly
Certified Orthodontist
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Dr. Elijah (Elie) B. Saikaly graduated with honors from Immaculata High School. He received his bachelor’s degree with honors (CUM LAUDE) from the University of Ottawa in Biochemistry as well as a minor degree in Kineseology. With a great sense of humour and a passion to serve people, Dr. Saikaly pursued a dental education in Washington D.C. at Howard University and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. After all, you must have a sense of humour to go into dentistry! There, he received numerous honors and awards for his academic and clinical expertise including the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society induction. Graduating in the top 5% of his dental class, Dr. Saikaly was accepted into Orthodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University where he received a Master’s of Science in Dentistry as well as a Certificate of Residency in Orthodontics. Having trained in the USA, Dr. Saikaly holds both Canadian (FRCD(C)) and American Licenses to practice both Dentistry as well as Orthodontics in both countries. Like they say, “home is where the heart is”, and therefore Dr. Saikaly and his beautiful wife Dr. Zena Angie Skaff (Optometrist) decided to return to Ottawa to practice.
Dr. Saikaly is an active member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, Canadian Dental Association as well as the Ontario Association of Orthodontists. By actively participating in regular orthodontic continuing education courses in Canada, USA, and abroad, Dr. Saikaly stays current with the latest information and technology in the wonderful world of orthodontics.
Other than creating beautiful smiles for his patients, Dr. Saikaly loves to read, watch movies and spend time with his family. Squash and Golf are his favourite sports not to mention his passion for Tim’s coffee.
After having practiced orthodontics for over seven years, Dr.Saikaly has had the privilege of treating hundreds of adults and children in the Ottawa and Orleans area. “Meeting new people” and “removing braces and seeing beautiful smiles” are the two rewards he enjoys most about orthodontics.

Dr. Cohen
Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Charles Cohen is passionate about orthodontics and takes great satisfaction in treating every patient as an individual. He loves the challenge of analyzing each patient’s dental condition, smile and face to develop a unique plan that will help them obtain a radiant smile. Dr. Cohen believes in early screening and intervention to prevent future complications that may require more extensive orthodontic treatment if left unchecked.
Born and raised in Montreal, Dr. Cohen is delighted to call Ottawa his home. As an adolescent, he had braces to alleviate crowding and correct his bite. This early, positively life-changing experience shaped his professional career. It gave Dr. Cohen an incredibly personal understanding of how orthodontics can profoundly transform one’s appearance, smile and self-confidence.
Dr. Cohen received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from McGill University, graduating at the top of his class. During that time, he earned numerous awards recognizing his academic and clinical achievements. After dental school, Dr. Cohen was accepted into the Postdoctoral Orthodontic program at the University of Colorado, where he received both a Master’s of Science in Dentistry and a Specialty certificate. Dr. Cohen was educated using the latest technologies available, including Invisalign, “hidden” or lingual braces, temporary anchorage devices, and three-dimensional cone beam computerized imaging.
To stay current with the rapidly evolving field of orthodontics, Dr. Cohen regularly attends continuing education courses. He is also a member of the following professional organizations:

With a great appreciation for nature Dr. Cohen values being active outdoors. When he is not practicing orthodontics, he enjoys skiing, hiking and golfing. Dr. Cohen also likes to read, watch movies, and spend time with his wife and two daughters.
